This past week was our little family vacation and what a week it was! It started off good.... we drove to Long Island Friday night and got to our friends' house about 1am. Jack did pretty well but didn't sleep too much. We all were lacking in sleep from this trip. We had a great time though visiting with friends. Mike got to play golf while the moms and kids went to the park and played. On Mother's Day we had a nice breakfast that our friend Chris got from a really good bakery. We went to a park later in the afternoon and had a little picnic. It was a little chilly but it was still fun and nice to be outside. Jack and Oscar seemed to get a long well. Although Oscar was a little brute! :) Every time Jack got a toy to play with Oscar would come over and take it! It was a good trip and glad we were finally able to make it up there and meet Oscar.

Jack and Oscar playing.We left Long Island Tuesday afternoon and headed back to Richmond for the night. We then left for Charlotte on Wednesday. I didn't really want to go because Jack seemed to be getting sick but we decided to go. Unfortunately Jack got worse and about 8pm that night we took him to the ER in Charlotte. He had an ear infection, fever and an upper resperatory infection. He is feeling better now but still stuffy and coughing some. I have a feeling we will have to cancel his surgery, AGAIN. It's in 2 weeks and he would have to be all healthy by tomorrow which it doesn't look like that will be the case. He has a checkup this Thursday to check his weight, which I'm sure will have dropped since he hasn't been eating much at all from being sick. Hopefully being home this week and getting back to a regular routine will help.
Jack in the ERWe didn't get to do too much while in Charlotte with Jack being sick and Mike got sick also. Mike did go into his Uncle Pat's office (his future office) for a morning and then we drove around looking at houses and neighborhoods. It's still early but we just want to try to narrow down the area we want to live in. Later this year we'll probably start seriously looking. I'm VERY excited about that!
As you can see I'm getting HUGE! It is pretty much all baby too. And because of that I can feel every little move he makes and boy let me tell you, it doesn't always feel good! Everything is continuing to go well. I am tired a lot now and just plain uncomfortable. I'm hoping he comes early but Mike insists he has to wait until August! He's chief resident in July so for his work schedule it would be better if he came in August, but I just don't want to wait! We'll see what happens, he'll arrive when he's good and ready.
