End of March

It was a busy weekend for us all. Friday Jack and I went to the church playgroup. It's every Friday and we try to go weekly. He's the youngest one there but seems to enjoy being there and "playing" with the other kids. Mike went to DC for a conference Friday - Saturday so it was Jack and I most of the weekend. Saturday we went to the Children's Museum where they were having a big Birthday Bash. It was our first time there and there are lots of fun things for kids to do. Jack is a little young for most of it but they have a toddler area where he played in. We had some cake and ice cream and watched some juggling acts. It was a busy, long day and he fell asleep before Mike got home. The conference Mike went to was for work and he went with 2 other residents. The hotel they stayed in was right next to the White House and they were upgraded to a $1000 a night room! One of the residents took pictures so I can't wait to see them. He said that the First Lady was there on Friday, which is pretty cool.
Today grandma and papa (Mike's mom and stepdad) and brother Frankie came to visit. We grilled out and had a nice dinner. They are always very generous and bring goodies for Jack and us all. Jack was happy and playful as always and it was a nice visit.

First Blog

I figure since so many people are doing it, maybe I should finally get a Blog of our family. I email everyone pretty often but figure I'll try this and see if I can keep it updated.

Today is finally the start of spring here in Richmond. At least I hope so! Near 70 for the next couple of days which will be nice. I look forward to warm weather so Jack and I can go for walks. Jack likes to be outdoors and I certainly need the exercise. Today we met a friend and her 6 month old son at the park and walked around and they went on the swing. I brought Jack's soccer ball and he had fun kicking that around. There's this program here starting at 18 months for kids to play and learn soccer so I'm going to do that once Jack turns 18 months - I don't care what Mike says!
