2 year and 6 month checkups

Today was Jack and Patrick's checkups.
Jack is a whopping 23 lbs. He's still in the 5th % for weight and 25th for height. Patrick on the other hand is in the 25-50th% for weight and 50th for height. Both have big heads! I guess that just means they'll be really smart! :) Seriously though, everything is proportional so that's all that matters. Both had to get shots which they of course cried but were fine once it was done.

What else has been going on... not much really. Both boys have had a cold for almost a week now. Jack actually has an ear infection so is on antibiotics for that. We've been inside for the past 4 days and am ready to get out! It's been cold though so don't mind it too much. This weekend we're having a Super Bowl party so that will be fun.

Oh, Patrick isn't crawling, YET, but he's rolling and moving all over the place. Jack is talking more and more. I am trying to upload some video of the boys but the files are big and taking forever, so I'll keep working on it so check back soon!

Here's a couple pictures:

Look who turned 2!

Hard to believe that little Jack is 2! What's even harder to believe is that Patrick is almost 6 months! Time really does go fast.
For Jack's birthday we had a small party last weekend with Grandma and Papa and my friend and her son came over for pizza and cake. Jack likes Curious George these days so the theme was Curious George and I made a cake with the monkey face on it. I drew it freehand and thought it came out pretty good! :) Jack actually didn't cry when we sang Happy Birthday to him! He got lots of nice gifts, cards, money from everyone - so thank you all! For his birthday on Tuesday I took him to Chick-fil-A for lunch where he only wanted to eat french fries. Then we went out to dinner and he only ate bread and green beans! Crazy appetite these toddlers have. For his birthday "cake" I made him a big pumpkin muffin. He LOVES pumpkin. I have more pictures from his birthday and just from the past month that I will be sending out.

Another milestone is Patrick starting cereal! Cute picture below of his first taste. He still doesn't quite get the whole eating from a spoon but he'll get there. He's definitely a bigger eater than Jack ever was. Patrick also has his 2 bottom teeth poking up! AND it won't be long before he's crawling. He rolls all over the place and pushes way up on his knees, so crawling is just around the corner. He really loves his big brother too. He loves to watch him play and dance and just laughs and laughs, it's the best thing to see :)

They both have their next check-ups in a couple weeks. I'm curious to see how much they've grown.

New handmade items

I have recently started making pendants that can be worn as necklaces or used as keychains or magnets. Each one is customized to what you want - meaning I do not add the bails until you decided what you want. Here are a few samples of what I have so far. I will adding these items and more as I make them, to my website soon so check that out too! If you see something you or someone you know might like, let me know! And if there is a certain color/design you want let me know and I can see if I can accommodate you.

Prices are $8 for necklace, $6 for keychain and $4 for magnet.
The pendant sizes are 7/8" x 7/8" for the square and 1 7/8" x 7/8" for the rectangular.

Happy New Year!

It's hard to believe that it is January already. Time seems to go by so fast now. We had a quiet, relaxing Christmas at home. We went to mass Christmas Eve at 4pm, the designated "family" mass. Afterwards we came home and ate and watched movies. Santa was very good to both Jack and Patrick :) Jack got a tricycle, which he can't quit reach the petals yet! Patrick got an activity center which he seems to really enjoy. Plus lots of other toys and clothes. The weekend after Christmas we went to Mike's mom's and had Christmas there. We all got lots of nice things and had some great food!

We stayed in for New Years since Mike was on trauma call. It was a very low key night. Well, except Patrick was pretty fussy because he's cutting teeth already! His 2 bottom teeth are starting to poke through. I think that's why he has been coughing and seems to have a cold lately, which can happen when babies teeth - from what I've read. Jack never fussed or seemed bothered when he was teething - although he did drool alot, and still does!
Today we took the tree down and put all the Christmas decorations away- until next year, when we'll be in our new house! (that we still have yet to look for - this Spring!)

Next weekend is Jack's birthday party. I cannot believe he'll be 2! I'll be sure to post pictures from that.
