Cat in the Hat and the Circus

Last week I took Jack and Patrick to see the Cat in the Hat at storytime. There were tons of parents/kids so you couldn't really hear the story but the kids were able to get their picture with the Cat in the Hat. I think Jack liked it....



We missed soccer this week because Jack and Patrick seemed to have another cold and runny noses. We bought tickets to the circus for Sunday and we didn't want them to get any sicker so we stayed in Saturday to make sure they were well enough to go. The circus was fun! Jack sat in complete amazement for the first hour. Patrick fell asleep - as shown in this picture! I don't know how he fell asleep because we sat right under the speakers and it was LOUD!

I spent all afternoon Saturday pureeing vegetables. I bought a new cookbook to "sneak" in veggies in foods so Jack will eat it. It's not that he doesn't eat vegetables, he does. He actually seems to like all the green vegetables. But it depends on his mood. So if I can sneak them in other ways it's even better! Plus Patrick can eat the pureed food now too. We'll see how long I keep it up though :)

It was an even more interesting weekend since we didn't have any hot water all weekend! It's now fixed, thankfully. The boys will be getting a nice warm bath tonight :)

An update on Patrick - his Hematologist called and he does have Von Willebrandts. So the next step is to schedule an appointment for him to test to see that the DDAVP will work for his surgery. I'm hoping he will be easier than Jack since he's younger and not fight it so much. I will keep you updated.
